Send in your City Sights
A Hero’s Perspective
The Paragon Times paparazzi, it seems, are not the only ones capable of capturing the crusading exploits of our city’s heroes on film. If you’ve been flexing a photographic finger on your ventures around town, send in your images and they could be featured in our City Sights section.
The best shots will be exhibited to the world in our coveted City Sights showcase. Choose your subject matter, get your angle right and start snapping – just don’t be caught short as you try to catch The Council on the job; rumour has it they’re exceptionally camera shy.
Feel free to supply us with just your heroic alter ego, or if you’re feeling more bold, your secret identity – we promise not to share. A caption might help us (and the world) know what we’re looking at, too – although please, keep them family-friendly.
Small print: Images must be no more than 1280 x 1024 pixels resolution. No in-game UI is allowed. Post-processing of images is not permitted.
Help!
To capture an in-game screenshot, use the Print Screen button on your keyboard. (This key can be remapped in the Options menu.) Your screenshot will by default be saved in your City of Heroes /screenshots/ directory as a JPG file.
To rotate your camera view around your hero, simply click and hold the centre mouse-button or scroll wheel, then move the mouse. Let go of the button or wheel to fix the camera angle. To reset the view from any angle, press ‘B’ twice.
Try to take a more interesting shot by using emotes – more can be found on these in the Basic Controls section. Remember, it’s good to stand out from the crowd.
Look out for interesting landmarks and scenery to pose next to (or on top of!) around Paragon City, and try to take shots at various times of day and in different lighting conditions.
For the highest quality image, try temporarily increasing the detail levels and texture quality, if not already maxed out. Go into the Options menu, then Graphics and Audio – don’t forget to restore your original settings afterwards.
NCsoft Europe has the final decision on which images to publish.
